Literacy & Lacrosse Inc. passionately believes in the transformative power of combining rigorous literacy instruction with structured athletic programming to close critical academic achievement gaps. Our mission is to empower historically underserved children through innovative, high-quality education strategically designed to significantly improve literacy outcomes, close critical achievement gaps, and cultivate confident, engaged learners and leaders who positively transform their communities.
Statement of Need
The literacy crisis demands innovative solutions. Currently, fewer than half of the district's students read at grade level, disproportionately affecting Black and Hispanic communities. Literacy & Lacrosse addresses this challenge directly, delivering structured literacy instruction aligned with the Science of Reading and offering proven character-building athletics, thereby creating pathways for academic excellence and lifelong success.
